Why are your prices so low compared to other DJ's providing similar packages?
This is my hobby. I love music and I enjoy watching people have a good time. I
charge a reasonable price that factors in the cost of my equipment, advertising and
marketing, preparation time, travel, and the help of one additional person to assist with
the set-up and tear down of equipment. I know a lot of DJ's that charge a couple of
thousand dollars for their services (and they do an excellent job and are worth every
penny), but I'm currently targeting customers that want top notch services at a more
affordable price. Use those savings to pay for invitations, food, and beverages.
Can you DJ any genre of music?
My music collection is diverse. I've DJ'd events for people of various ages, races, and
musical tastes. I can take you on a musical ride back in time, or I can play the song
that you heard on the radio yesterday. I stay plugged into the Billboard Charts to
ensure that I have the latest hits from every genre, as well as looking at past charts to
ensure that I have the top music from previous decades. During the consultation prior
to your event, I'll get a feel for the type of music that you are wanting to hear, plus I'll
provide you with some complimentary sample CD's to preview. No matter what genre
of music I play, I WILL ensure that the dance floor is packed!
What methods of payment do you accept?
Cash, Check, and Credit Cards. If you prefer to pay by credit card, please let me
know in advance so that I can direct you to a secure site for processing.
Do you provide a contract or a receipt?
Yes, I provide a written contract that needs to be signed in advance. I provide a
receipt also.
Do you require a deposit?
I do require a $100 deposit. The deposit is required to reserve your date.
Can I request my own playlist?
You can request your own playlist. The pre-event consultation should provide me
with a good enough feel for the type of music that you are requesting, but I do provide
my clients with a sheet to input their favorite songs and requests. I would advise
against limiting the DJ to a specific playlist. It is the DJ's responsibility to feel the
crowd and make any necessary adjustments.
Is your equipment up to date?.
I use professional, top of the line DJ equipment. I have invested several thousands of
dollars into purchasing equipment and will continue to invest to ensure that I remain
on the cutting edge.
